Ms. Sabina - Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Ms. Sabina has been a Florida licensed speech-language language pathology assistant for 6 years. She attended University of South Florida where she earned a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Immediately after graduating, she obtained a position at the Tampa Bay Speech & Reading clinic where she received training in central auditory processing disorders and reading disorders. Ms. Sabina joined the CCAM team in 2017.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to Haitian parents, she is fluent in both English and Haitian Creole. She has a twin sister who is nonverbal; therefore, language disorders have become her passion. Her areas of interest are literacy and phonological awareness. She has experience working with young children diagnosed with ASD, OCD, ODD, SPD. She has experience with the reading programs: Seeing Stars, Great Leaps, Explode the Code, Beyond the Code, and Get Ready for the Code series.
Sabina enjoys going to the movies with her friends, going on road trips, and learning Spanish and Japanese.
